Yoshiteru Mizumoto is a fully qualified patent attorney and Director of the Mechanical and Electrical Department, with more than 15 years’ experience in the profession. His practice involves domestic and overseas patent prosecution, Office actions, appeals and litigation.
In addition to patent prosecution, Yoshiteru advises on appraisals to determine whether products infringe patents and occasionally teams up with Asamura lawyers to handle invalidation trials.
Yoshiteru has been involved in revising examinations for patent applications serving as a Chairman of the Second and Fifth Patent Committees.

Yoichi Inoue

Yoichi Inoue is a Director of Chemical Department and an experienced patent attorney who specializes in biology, agricultural chemicals, medical treatment, and medicine.
Prior to joining Asamura, Yoichi was involved in the research and development of new pesticides at a biological research laboratory. Fluent in English, he has visited numerous patent firms in the US and Europe and represented ASAMURA IP P.C. at various IP summits. He was also an interpreter for the seminar on European patents sponsored by the Research Institute of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan. Yoichi is currently mastering Chinese to strengthen the relationship between Asamura and Chinese IP firms.

Kazutaka Otsuka

Kazutaka Otsuka is an experienced patent attorney and a Lawsuit Counsel who focuses his practice on domestic and international trademark and design prosecution. He incorporates global policies for intellectual property protection in his daily work related to IP rights acquisition and client counseling.
As a member of a patent attorney group, Mr. Otsuka was involved in the management of the Intellectual Property Foreign Training Department for four years, starting in 2006. In 2011 and 2012, he was a member of the Trademark Committee, a special committee of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association (JPAA). In the Japan Trademark Association, an association made up of corporate intellectual property professionals and lawyers, he is a member of the judicial decision research group and has been involved in the management of the group since 2012.
At law school, Kazutaka was a member of the Corporate Law seminar, where he immersed himself in a study of corporate law, particularly intellectual property rights law and product liability law.

Yasuaki Yamaguchi is a Director of IP Administration Department and a member of Trademark & Design Dept. (concurrent )  who works with a wide range of clients, from venture corporations to government departments and NPOs. He also has a considerable experience in trademark rights, searches, appraisals, invalidations trials, license and unfair competition.
