Japan: International Application Fees Revised

The fees for filing international applications with the Japan Patent Office (JPO) have been revised once again and will increase effective November 1, 2022. The increase is due to the recent and continuing depreciation of the yen.

Cost for requesting international preliminary examination: Preliminary examination fee + handling fee + additional fee for preliminary examination (preliminary examination fee x (number of inventions – 1))
