Business Reopening from June 1: Guidance by Asamura Patent Office/Asamura Law Office
Since the declaration of emergency due to the spread of COVID-19 was lifted in Tokyo on May 25, 2020, we have decided to continue working remotely until Friday, June 29, and prepare to reopen from Monday, June 1.Until Friday, June 29, please refer to the following guidelines:
Staff
We remain fully operational as our attorneys and employees continue working full-time remotely in a secure environment. All online procedures for the Japan Patent Office (the JPO) can be performed at home, and we will continue to accept job requests as usual.
Contact Method
During this period, please contact us by email or fax as phones are unavailable due to our office being closed.
Please refrain from sending mail to our office as much as possible during this period. For any documents that have a deadline submission, please provide the attorney in charge with the tracking number and any relevant information so we can make sure to receive the original on time.
Please note that once we reopen from June 1, we will follow new health guidelines announced by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
