This year ASAMURA PATENT OFFICE, p.c. entered upon the 120th year of the total period of service since its inception. Founded in the year of 1891 by my grandfather Saburo Asamura, Asamura Patent Office was the forerunner of the present firm. The Presidency was then succeeded by my father Narihisa Asamura, and the firm’s duties have now been handed down to me.

During the history of our service, our firm became a body corporate in May, 2008 to ensure stability and continuity of our firm’s administrative basis and so its name was renewed to ASAMURA PATENT OFFICE, p.c., to reflect its new character.

On this occasion, our firm has relocated to Tennoz Central Tower in the Tennoz Isle area in Shinagawa ward, Tokyo. The Tennoz Isle area, located at the water-front and surrounded with greenery, offers a superb environment which should help stimulate our intellectual and creative pursuits.

In order to access our firm, a shuttle bus service is exclusively available from the East exit of JR Shinagawa Station which is conveniently a stop of the JR Shinkansen Line. Tennoz Central Tower, where our firm is located, is directly connected with Tennoz Isle Station of the Tokyo Monorail Line by way of the “Skywalk”. Further, the Tennoz Isle area is in easy access to Haneda International Airport so that it provides an ideal place for not only guests and clients from abroad but also those who wish to take advantage of the International Airlines. Our firm is also located within several minutes walk from Tennoz Isle Station of the Rinkai Line.

Taking the opportunity of this relocation of our firm, all of the members of ASAMURA PATENT OFFICE, p.c. are now more determined to devote our energies and ourselves to our work so as to further enhance the quality of our services. Thus, we are most grateful to receive your favorable and continued support.

Finally, I would wish to inform that we have opened ASAMURA LAW OFFICES, located within ASAMURA PATENT OFFICE, p.c., for the purpose of extending our services in law suits and litigation regarding intellectual property rights and realizing the offer of the so-called “One-stop-service”. At ASAMURA LAW OFFICES, expert opinion will be provided by three attorneys-at-law/patent attorneys, namely, Mr. Haruo Goto, Ms. Naoko Kanoh, and Mr. Masahiro Asamura.
